    What makes it fun

At Shoyo, you and your sweetheart can experience an omakase evening that’s more than just dinner, it’s a crafted, flavorful affair that says “I’m really into you” one delicate bite at a time. Shoyo offers an ultra intimate omakase experience with only 14 seats at the sushi counter, which means you’ll be side by side in a setting that’s cozy, exclusive, and perfect for two. You’ll be treated to multiple courses of chef selected creations, showcasing fresh fish, inventive techniques, and an experience that feels extraordinarily special. The vibe is romantic in a modern way with low lighting, sleek design, and the performance of your meal being assembled right in front of you give the evening a “wow” factor.

Amazing experience from the friendly and welcoming staff; high quality and delicious omakase; to the ambience where it’s not so loud that you can’t have conversations with your friends and interact with the chefs. Loved it and would gladly come back again!

Amazing food, amazing experience, Chef is a really cool dude.

One our of our servers went above and beyond for my wife who has sciatic nerve pain and was having a hard time with the high stool and so the server went and found a step stool to use as a footrest that made the experience actually bearable for her. 11 out of 10 experience, worth every penny!

Shoyo is a place that should be enjoyed by anyone who loves a great atmosphere, amazing food, unique combinations of flavors, and a welcoming staff. Have known Chef Jimmy for many years now and it was awesome to experience what he's built! We will be back!

Had an AMAZING birthday celebration at Shoyo. The ambiance was on point, the service was A++++ and the food was melt in your mouth delicious! Everything was so fresh and Chef Jimmy was exceptional at his craftsmanship. Along with his crew, they displayed great attentiveness and hospitality towards the guests. Would love to experience this again!

Shoyo is absolutely worth it. I had a decadent omakase dinner here that felt truly special from start to finish. If you are torn between Shoyo and Tatsu, I would say go to both. Each offers a distinct experience. Shoyo leans into richer, more indulgent flavors like uni topped with truffle butter shavings and toro crowned with caviar. Tatsu is more traditional but just as incredible. You will not be disappointed with either as they each shine in their own way.

If you’re looking for a Michelin style omakase in Dallas, this restaurant should be in your consideration. I stumbled upon this place on reddit and am glad I did.

The dinner consisted of 17 courses and was relatively interactive. Chef Jimmy did a great job at descriptions for each item and injected humor to diffuse the pretentiousness that can sometimes accompany fine dining.

You could truly see the chefs’ passion shine through while they prepared the dishes.

The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because, I wasn’t truly blown away. Simply having top-tier quality fish isn’t enough to set yourself apart anymore. I fully acknowledge this is easy for a reviewer like myself to say, yet difficult for establishments to follow through on.

    All-in-all, still a fantastic experience.

We loved our experience at Shoyo and absolutely will return. The fish quality is amazing, certainly one of the best in TX. Every course is well thought out and compliments each other. Even the ginger and soy sauce tasted great.

The atmosphere was delightful because the chefs and staffs were very engaging with the guests. We haven’t had an omakase experience that made us laugh this much before. We felt very welcomed and appreciated.

It is definitely a highend meal but I’m sure you will have a great time here.
