Beautiful area to walk around and perfect for photos! While there are not a lot of restaurants on the canal walk, we saw a gondola ride in session along with swan themed paddle boats to rent and kayaks? to rent too. There is a small parking lot near the canal to park at before walking down the steps to the walkway.

The area is centered around a charming, European-inspired canal with cobblestone paths, vine-covered bridges, and waterfalls, making it a peaceful and highly photogenic spot for a stroll, especially in the evening when the lights come on. For activities, you can enjoy waterfront dining at one of the surrounding restaurants, or take a truly unique private gondola ride (often complete with a singing gondolier and dinner) along the canals and Lake Carolyn, which also offers rentals for paddleboards and kayaks if you prefer to propel yourself!

A beautiful, quiet, and clean place in the heart of the city, with free entry.
The promenade is ideal for walking and enjoying the view of the water, trees, and beautiful buildings.
There are many great restaurants, cafes, and ice cream shops along the river. The area is always clean and well-maintained, and boat and kayak tours are available.

This is the place to hangout with friends, very calm and quiet place.

The Mandalay Canal Walk at Las Colinas is such a beautiful and peaceful escape right in the middle of the city. The cobblestone walkways, charming bridges, and tranquil canal views make it feel like you’ve stepped into a little slice of Europe. It’s perfect for a relaxing stroll, a romantic date, or even just a quiet moment to enjoy the scenery.

You’ll find plenty of great restaurants and cafes, ice cream stores along the water, and the area is always clean and well-maintained. The gondola rides are a unique touch and make the experience even more special. Whether you go during the day or at sunset, the atmosphere is calm, scenic, and simply lovely.

If you’re in the Irving/Las Colinas area, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

It was wonderous to see the Canal Walk lit up! I can see why evening strolls are so popular! It was a little hard to find. There was even music playing. I didn't think the gondola would be up and running in the dark, but it was also lit up! The shops are grand. I bet the view from the restaurants overlooking the water is breathtaking! The waterfall was even lit up. We didn't even cover a fraction of the distance, but we had a lot of fun!

Be sure not to accidentally park in the parking garage that charges you a day rate instead of by hour.
$20 for the day when we were there for 1 hour.
There is free parking on the street. You will be walking anyways so it’s okay to park anywhere along the canal.
It’s a beautiful walk and worth a stop.
The gondolas seem so relaxing and look amazing!
