This place does not exist, we came on Saturday night and it was closed.

When you show up at 12 am and they won’t let you sit anywhere cause they are closing. They don’t close until 2am. Kitchen was closed as well. What a joke!

Bartender sold me on trying mezcal with the lovely cultural notes behind it. Really fun place, visited during happy hour and loved everything, even as a solo traveler.

Aka Pulp Fiction 🥰 We stepped inside and immediately felt like we were in a scene from Pulp Fiction. Immediately feeling like our cool points had gone up a level. The drink menu was fabulous as well. This speak easy spoke VOLUMES!!! Definitely going back.

Absolutely loved our experience at Palma and the Ghost Donkey lounge inside. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted immediately before we even had a chance to sit down. The atmosphere is stunning with a dark, speakeasy vibe, gorgeous multicolor lights across the ceiling, and elegant chandelier style lighting over the bar that makes the whole space feel upscale and inviting. The bartender was fantastic, super friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. He helped us choose mezcal cocktails and made them right in front of us within seconds. Both drinks were smooth, well balanced, and beautifully presented with dehydrated citrus garnishes. You can really tell care goes into the cocktails here. We ordered the sushi nachos and they were incredible. Fresh, flavorful, and presented perfectly. The portion size was generous enough that we ended up ordering a second round because they were that good. Even as the bar got busier, service stayed fast and attentive. The music, lighting, cleanliness, food, drinks, and service all came together perfectly. Everything felt intentional and well done. Easily one of the best lounge experiences we have had. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be back.

This was our first time here and it did not disappoint! The food, drinks, and atmosphere were amazing. Our server, Ozzy, was one of the best we’ve ever had. He went above and beyond for us and was so friendly. I highly recommend going when you’re in Dallas.

Ghost Donkey is one of the best spots in Deep Ellum - great music, drinks, and even tacos! Mike is super friendly and will make sure you’re enjoying your experience! He is the best, and I definitely recommend checking this place out ◡̈

Ghost Donkey is an absolute gem of a speakeasy! The vibe is super cool with amazing music and a cozy, energetic ambience. Their cocktails are top-notch, especially anything with Mezcal, which they do incredibly well. The food pairs perfectly with the drinks and adds to the overall experience. The bartenders are not only skilled but also super friendly and fun to chat with. Can’t wait to come back with more friends, this place is a must visit! Do checkout the Happy Hour drinks and Menu!!

We came here for our anniversary date on a recommendation and it did not disappoint at all. We came during happy hour (4 to 8) and tried the tacos, appetizers and drinks. We ordered some of their specialty cocktails (the highland picnic was my fav, stealth marg also good). The vegetarian taco was one of the best I've ever tried, and the service from Torey was phenomenal. She took such good care of us and was super attentive to us the whole time we were there. We did make a reservation ahead of time but it was probably not necessary for how early we were there. We left and came back less than an hour later because we really liked the drinks. The only disappointment was when we returned, we got a different server than Torey and she was kind of meh, so so on the service. Not as vibrant or happy to be taking care of us. Other than that we had a great time. It is definitely on the pricier side which is why I recommend happy hour. But the specialty cocktails are justifiably worth the extra $. The entrance is to the right of entering Palma. Also be aware that parking is absolutely a nightmare (per Deep Ellum) and is expensive as hell. The lot next door has limited space and is $15 for two hours. If you can find street parking we recommend that because the time frame really made us feel rushed and pressed to leave.

I was bar hopping, and to be honest, this was the best spot of the day! The staff was great, I got Wi-Fi right at the bar, and had an awesome time overall. The best surprise? Happy hour lasts all day on Sundays—I had no idea, and I loved it! Definitely coming back next time.
