Domodomo Kō

Our party of six was quickly and easily seated, and all dietary considerations were accommodated with no fuss.

Many restaurants require all guests to order the same dishes if trying tasting or omakase menus, but Domodomo Kō didn't mind half of us trying the sushi set, one ordering vegan a la carte dishes, and two ordering the omakase.

The kitchen timed our various courses beautifully and served us very thoughtfully. My favorite dishes from the hot food section were the buttery tender miso cod paired with kabocha squash, and the $49 sushi set comes with a ton of food for phenomenal value (hamachi crudo, 10 pcs of omakase nigiri, plus two hand rolls). We were absolutely stuffed by the end of it, thanks to dessert, cocktails, and a complimentary dish from the chef.

Our server Eric was beyond patient with us, and I have to give a special shout-out to both the sushi chef and the chef managing the hot dishes. We greatly enjoyed our visit, which was the highlight of a long work stint in Dallas.

We started with the cucumber starter, which was so fresh and crisp, followed by the cold noodles that were light and flavorful. The hamachi crudo was excellent, bright and balanced. We also ordered toro, tuna, and snapper nigiri, and each piece was so fresh and clean tasting. The snapper in particular was outstanding.

The fried chicken was a surprise favorite and something I would recommend to anyone visiting. We also had a few hand rolls, and the miso ginger cod hand roll was the star of the night. For dessert we tried both options, and the shisho dessert with cornflakes was unique and absolutely delicious.

Every server we interacted with was kind and professional, the restrooms were spotless, and we even had the chance to meet one of the managers who was genuinely warm and welcoming. This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in Dallas, and I will definitely be back.

The omakase set menu and saké pairing was loved by my friend and the other menu items were excellent too.

The four course dinner was excellent, as was the Korean fried chicken and both desserts.

The staff was very attentive and informative.

I’ve visited their New Jersey location a few times, we were extremely excited and impressed with their signature tasting course (Domokase) which is a first in DFW area, bringing us a different experience to the fine Asian inspired dishes.

Located in uptown Dallas, surrounded by lots of business centers and offices. We were greeted with smiles and sincere gratitude from the moment we walked in.

The atmosphere and music are amazing and relaxing. The design and decoration were a perfect example of authenticity and welcoming. More importantly the entire staff were attentive and courteous, all to the level of right amount of attention to avoid any interruption or discomfort during your course! Chefs and management team would also check in to ensure food quality and service meet our expectations or any feedback we would provide. (A++ service)

I can’t honestly name my favorite course/dish during my visit since each dish was made in order to open up your taste buds! And the courses were designed in order, and to the right amount so you won’t get bored of the flavor/taste/texture one after another.

Top-notch to sum up. We can’t wait to be back and spread the words to our friends and family! Give this gem a try, you won’t be disappointed!
