Impeccable service, ambiance, and cuisine. I really loved the miso cod/kabocha squash in particular, and the chewiness of the cold noodles was absolutely perfect.
Our party of six was quickly and easily seated, and all dietary considerations were accommodated with no fuss.
Many restaurants require all guests to order the same dishes if trying tasting or omakase menus, but Domodomo Kō didn't mind half of us trying the sushi set, one ordering vegan a la carte dishes, and two ordering the omakase.
The kitchen timed our various courses beautifully and served us very thoughtfully. My favorite dishes from the hot food section were the buttery tender miso cod paired with kabocha squash, and the $49 sushi set comes with a ton of food for phenomenal value (hamachi crudo, 10 pcs of omakase nigiri, plus two hand rolls). We were absolutely stuffed by the end of it, thanks to dessert, cocktails, and a complimentary dish from the chef.
Our server Eric was beyond patient with us, and I have to give a special shout-out to both the sushi chef and the chef managing the hot dishes. We greatly enjoyed our visit, which was the highlight of a long work stint in Dallas.
