    What makes it fun

Drift into a world of wonder together at the Dallas World Aquarium. It’s not just fish you'll find at the Dallas World Aquarium. There's also the rainforest canopy, monkeys, manatees, sloths, sharks, penguins, and even a 40-foot underwater tunnel filled with gliding sea life. Stroll hand-in-hand through various habitats like the misty rainforest (where birds soar overhead and sloths lounge) and the underwater tunnel (where rays and fish swim overhead).

Went on a Sunday and it was packed nothing too surprising but the lack of space throughout the "aquarium" is super small for anyone to pass by. Definitely not stroller friendly at all unless you wanna be packed like a sardine just trying to explore. Place smelled terrible due to the heat and the animals due to the fact of it being indoors. You cant even really call this place an aquarium because it features 75% of land mammals. Save your money and take your kids to walk around downtown dallas to do something more fun.

The Aquarium is one of the best I have ever seen. It was clean and the animals are amazing. We went in the morning and it was so peaceful just getting to walk around and see everything without the crowds. Thry have lots of parking and you can pre-purchase if you buy your tickets online.

Such a fun and beautiful place to visit! I loved that it’s more than just an aquarium—you also get to see birds, monkeys, reptiles, and other animals throughout the experience. The layout makes you feel like you’re walking through a rainforest, which makes it really unique.

The exhibits are well maintained, and there’s always something interesting to look at. It’s a great place for both kids and adults, and you can easily spend several hours exploring.

The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends, but overall it’s definitely worth visiting if you’re in Dallas.

We visited The Dallas World Aquarium on a weekday before noon, and it was such a fun experience for my child and me! Entry was quick with no wait time, and parking was easy directly across the street ($17.50 for the full day).

Jose at the front was incredibly helpful and gave us great tips on how to explore, especially since there was a large, unexpected field trip happening when we arrived. His advice definitely helped us navigate the crowds.

There’s so much to see here, we loved walking through the rainforest-style layout and spotting animals like the three-toed sloth, toucans, flamingos, and even the manatees. The shark tunnel and vibrant fish exhibits were also highlights. Almost all of the exhibits were engaging and well maintained, though a few enclosures felt a bit small for some of the animals. I did notice a couple pacing back and forth, which made me pause.

The facility overall was clean, with abundant restrooms and convenient food spots inside. There was a slight odor in certain areas, maybe a mix of chlorine and something else, but it wasn’t overwhelming.

Overall, we truly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return. I recommend visiting earlier in the day to avoid bigger crowds and have the best experience!

Visiting the The Dallas World Aquarium was a fantastic experience and very different from a typical aquarium. It feels more like a tropical rainforest than just an aquarium, with exotic birds, sloths, monkeys, and lush greenery all around you. Of course, there are plenty of beautiful fish and marine life as well. Everything is thoughtfully designed, and you can easily spend two hours exploring without feeling rushed. It’s engaging, immersive, and enjoyable for both kids and adults. Definitely worth visiting when in Dallas.

This was a wonderful experience. Best aquarium i have been too. Lots to see. The flow in traffic in there did get jammed a bit, I cant imagine it being easier on a busier day. Was a good experience though.

Great place! I recommend visiting. It was worth the price and drive. Large variety of fish and birds. From the start of arrival before entering the building there were bird displays. The rain forest like entrance and throughout the exhibit was fantastic!

Unique and full of surprises. It is not the biggest aquarium you will ever see. But what you will see is amazing. They pack more awesomeness into every square foot. It feels immersive but safe. You have the different climates and geographic homes for the critters that are so well thought up and they flow from habitat to habitat well. The penguins are worth the price of admission alone. I felt like I saw it all, but if I go back I will see something new in every enclosure.

The aquarium is wonderful. Interesting varieties of amazing fish, corals, birds. The shark tank is a fun place for kids and adults seeing shark swim over your head and all around you is mesmerizing and there’s a huge sword fish too. The only thing is the aquarium needs some tender loving care the bathrooms are old and not clean. The whole place needs a face lift, it’s a little dirty and stinky around the edges. The walkway outside between the front entrance and exit is pretty but when you walk through it there’s an overwhelming smell of urine. The whole outside can use a good power wash. I went several years ago when it looked newer and smelled better. The management needs to do a better job with the place. But it’s still worth visiting there are also gorgeous tropical plants.

An absolutely FUN place to take the family or a date. I am so glad I took my friend and her daughter we had a marvelous time there. There's so much to see and do and it's set up to where everything flows effortlessly from the time you enter until the time you leave. They had plenty of concessions inside and really nice restaurants. The place is immaculately clean and allows you to be totally interactive with several of the animals. In some areas it needs a little TLC but it's just normal wear and tear; it's just a little off-putting visually.

All and all it was a great experience and it's DEFINITELY up there with The Atlanta Aquarium! Wow!
