Ummm... This restaurant has been open for 6 years. Why does it only have 60 reviews? Why is it empty on a Thursday night? And why have I only just heard about it? It seems the ONLY thing they need here is a good publicist. I had one of the best meals I've had in Dallas here last night. The atmosphere is haunting and beautiful. The service is friendly and efficient. The cocktails were fascinating and delicious. And the food was utterly flawless. (And we ordered the ENTIRE menu...) Ayahuasca is a heady, thoughtful concept that is impossibly cool. If you frequent Mexico City, you'll feel as if you've stepped through a portal right to that amazing place with its infinity of spectacularly trendy, delicious restaurants. I simply can't fathom why this place isn't constantly packed. Each dish we ordered was flawless. (I'm a chef...I'm easy to please but hard to impress, and this food impresses.) From house-crafted masa creations to utterly fresh seafood, we were blown away, course by course. Get here, people. It's one of the best restaurants in Dallas, and it's hiding in plain sight...

Amazing place! The cocktails were unique and tasted so good, the same with the food. The atmosphere was beautiful and romantic. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable. What more could you ask for?

This is a true hidden gem. This place was recommend to us. From the first time we went the service. Drinks & food were top tier. Cynthia is very knowledgeable of all the different tequilas & mezcals. We loved our first experience so much we jad to go back. The food never disappoints.

A friend booked this reservation for us, so I had no preconceived notions of what this would be. It was outstanding! I’d like to start by highlighting the service. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and explained the menu, concept, and how to make the best of our evening. Cocktails were superb. Ambience was great, for me the music is a bit loud and made it harder for me to hear what the waiter was explaining to our table. We tried almost everything on the menu and all of it was excellent. I highly recommend and will be back again!!

Loved every second of this experience. Ordered the bone marrow & the duck. Both of which were decadently prepared and perfectly spiced. The combination of ingredients in these dishes were so interesting and even some things I generally wouldn’t eat, they combine in such a way that was extremely enjoyable for me. The churro dessert is a musttttt try! Service is also top tier, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The cocktails are out this world! Wishing you guys success I would absolutely go again!

I took my wife for our anniversary. This place is such a unique experience and a true hidden gem. They made us off menu drinks and took great care of us for our anniversary. 10/10!!

Our server was Cynn, she had great drink recommendations. Everything tastes great and the service was quick. The atmosphere was nice and I’ve never had a drink this unique. I’d love to come back.

The quality of the drinks has drastically declined—from great to mediocre. In this industry, it’s all about customer service and creating an exceptional experience for your guests. We recently learned that one of their most valuable employees, Jose, is no longer with them. We don’t know the reason, but he was the main reason we kept coming back—his service and top-notch drinks were unmatched. Now, it seems the bar is staffed with inexperienced bartenders, and the drop in quality is noticeable. Unfortunately, we’ll probably not be returning.

Such a fun spot!! Vibes are 100 food is really good - I’m not a foodie and still loved everything we ordered. The starters and desserts are the stars esp the steak/shrimp starter and the churros. Service was not the best but not bad enough it would defer me from coming. Just seemed like less experience staff. Overall would recommend to all my friends and will be back!

This what I called an authentic a hidden gem that it’s on the back of a coffee shop. Find it cause it’s so worth it . Firstly the staff at the coffee shop received you nicely, secondly the ambience is fabulous so cozy and trendy at the same time, every single detail is unique and amazing. Third the most important thing is the food the chef Monica Lopez really studied every single detail of the menu which at least of what I tried was out of this world ( I ate the duck Carnitas empanada was extraordinary, next the aguachile negro surf & turf with a black sauce so hard to explain but amazing, and I normally eat one or two plates but I had to try another chef’s favorite which was the roasted beet salad was a great experienced and off course the desert I couldn’t missed it. Try it out it’s an absolute unique and delicious experience so far for the last year I think, nothing compare to Ayahuasca Cantina.

Fun speakeasy hidden in the back of the takeout spot. I’m at my friend’s here and had a great experience. The cocktails were delicious, although a tiny bit sweet on many of them. I ordered one that the waiter said would be the least sweet of them all, and I still find it to be the touch on the sweet side. I had this really cool seafood soup where they prepare it table side by dropping some very hot rocks inside of a bowl that had all the contents of the soup. They then let it simmer for a few minutes and return to take the rocks out. Super cool presentation and the soup itself was delicious. I would go back just for that soup again! I parked right in front. Plenty of parking even on weekend
