My step-granddaughter and wife wanted sushi. We had often eaten at its sister restaurant Republic Texas Tavern so we gave it a try. I'm so glad we did! The food was delicious. My choices, the Shanghai noodle dish was delicious as was the garlic sichuan edamame. My wife and step granddaughter both had sushi which they both loved.

My husband and I have eaten with our best friends at Onesan several times over the last few years and we always enjoy our meals and the whole experience (service, drinks, atmosphere.) Last night we had an especially great meal - -- our server (Vy) was wonderful and she recommended a few dishes we hadn't tried before (crispy salmon, beef brisket lo-mein, getting our Bao bun crisped on the bottom) - great recommendations and we loved all of our food. Our favorite cocktails were Yuzu Lemon Drop martini and Whiskey Business. A great meal, and really wonderful service!

We stumbled across the wonderful restaurant while intending to visit one of the neighbouring restaurants and we’re so glad we did! Food and drinks were amazing. Great service and quick delivery of food! We already can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous appetizers and sushi roll!!! Delicious and flavorful! Cocktails were bland and more of a spritzer than a true Cocktail. Great care by the server.

Great, upscale sushi spot! The service was phenomenal. Loved the atmosphere, except .. maybe we came on an off night... But there was an abundance of children (some very loud screaming)... This should not be a place for children.
The sushi is pricey, so expect a large bill. They have a lot of variety of sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi, and other small dishes to try/enjoy. Presentation was excellent and so was the taste. Only knock would be that for the price i would expect a bit more fish in the rolls.
Best thing we tried was the mushroom dumplings!

Onēsan is a trendy restaurant and bar with a cool ambiance, but I found it a bit overpriced for the experience we had during our quick visit. Despite the place being half full, we were told the wait time was 45 minutes, which was disappointing. Opting for the bar, we tried the onesan sashimi, Shanghai noodles, geisha roll, onesan old fashioned, and whiskey business. The cocktails were well-crafted and appropriately priced, offering a generous amount of alcohol.

However, I found the Shanghai noodles ($18) too oily and overpriced, not living up to the expected quality and portion. Similarly, the geisha roll ($21) and sashimi ($21) were under portioned and overpriced— visually appealing to post on social media posts.

The Geisha Roll is a delightful treat, being rolled in cucumber makes it crunchy and flavorful.

While I'd definitely return for the cocktails, I believe Dallas and Plano have plenty of other excellent options for sashimi, noodles, and sushi at more reasonable prices.

Great little spot with much better atmosphere than you would expect from the strip mall location. All of the dim sum items we tried were very good. Pork Fried Rice, Hot and Sour Shrimp, and Steamed Buns were standouts. The sushi was fine, but nothing mind-blowing. Cocktails are excellent, and the wine list is very reasonably priced. Service is friendly and efficient, although we had several people show up with plates looking for us to move things around on the table to make space for them, a pet peeve of mine. Good experience overall, though.
