    What makes it fun

Las Palmas is the spot for a date that is both muy caliente and full of flavor. It’s a Tex-Mex dream with funky vibes, delicious twists, and enough charm to make even the tortillas melt. Inside you will find cozy booths, bright neons, iron chandeliers, Dallas memorabilia on the walls, and a nod to Dallas dining heritage from decades past. From Wagyu Steak Fajitas with bone marrow butter, brisket tacos, and handmade tortillas to snapper Veracruz and puerco en salsa verde, there are plenty of flavors to explore together. Las Palmas isn’t shy about dessert or bartending flourishes. The off menu frozen margarita is a fun surprise, and dessert hybrids like sopapilla cheesecake add a sweet finish to wrap up the meal.

Wow! Great food, great atmosphere and great service! 30 minute wait - yet sat at the bar. There’s two bars within the restaurant. House margaritas weren’t strong but weren’t weak - perfect. Chips and salsa was plentiful for just one diner (just me). Salsas were very good! Chips tasted homemade! Highly recommended!

We love eating here! Always make reservations if it’s Friday - Saturday.
Low lit, beautiful ambiance, excellent service, outdoor area, full bar to sit and eat, downstairs and upstairs. The food has never disappointed from the soup, fajitas, shrimp tacos, drinks, etc.

Not sure about the other items, but the Redfish tacos are amazing! Rice is great, but it’s also really hard to make bad Spanish rice lol, the beans taste great, but I wish they didn’t throw them into a blender / emulsion wand because it makes them look like can beans when they blend them like that. It makes it feel like puréed baby food.

Fix the beans! That’s a staple Mexican food 😅

This is a popular internet-famous restaurant near Dallas on this trip. It’s always crowded when I pass by. We went on a Wednesday, waited an hour, then chose takeout. The IPA I ordered was just so-so, but the food is authentic with huge portions—pretty good and worth a try.

We had a wonderful experience at Las Palmas! The staff was extremely courteous and attentive from start to finish. When my daughter ordered queso, we quickly realized it was far too spicy for her to enjoy. Without hesitation, the team kindly comped the dish—even though my son was practically licking the bowl clean because he loved it so much.

Many of their dishes do lean on the spicier side, but I found them to be absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The ambience is hip, stylish, and fun—perfect for a night out. I’m already looking forward to patio weather so I can come back and sip on a margarita while soaking it all in!

Service was kinda slow but the vibe and the food were more than enough. Got a reservation which was actually needed on a Monday night. Free valet was a nice touch. Queso was really good. Good drinks. Ambience and vibe overall make this a must go while in Dallas.

Friend and I went on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and it was amazing! The food was great and the service was amazing- but I really want to shout out whoever was bartender and made our classic frozen margaritas. I don’t usually order alcohol but I am so happy I did when I was there! Overall, great place and definitely recommend it!

We had an incredible experience at Las Palmas Tex-Mex in Dallas — it completely lived up to the buzz and then some. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance hit all the right notes: relaxed yet elevated, with warm lighting, welcoming service, and a beautiful patio setting that felt unmistakably Texan.

We started with their creamy queso, which came loaded with jalapeños and melty cheese — rich, comforting, and clearly made for sharing. The chips and salsa were outstanding: you get both a verde and a red salsa, and both had deep flavor with just the right amount of heat. Fresh toppings like chopped onions and cilantro elevated each bite.

For mains, I ordered the brisket birria tacos, and they were spot-on — juicy, flavorful, and wrapped in lightly crisped tortillas that held together beautifully. The portion was generous and deeply satisfying. My wife had the fajita combo, which was served sizzling and then drizzled with bone marrow juice at the table — easily one of the most flavorful fajita presentations we’ve had anywhere. Every element was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Service was excellent — attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly — and the portions were hearty without being overwhelming. Las Palmas strikes a great balance between modern flair and traditional Tex-Mex comfort, making it a perfect choice whether you’re visiting Dallas or live here.

Pro tip: come hungry and try the bone marrow fajita — it’s a standout.

Verdict: 5 stars. We’ll definitely be back.
