    What makes it fun

The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is a garden so gorgeous, it practically flirts back. Ever want to whisper sweet nothings beneath a floral tunnel? Stroll through the Crape Myrtle Allee, where blossoms arch overhead like nature’s own love canopy. Wander hand-in-hand into the Jonsson Color Garden, 6.5 acres of color that'll have both your hearts in full bloom. The Sunken Garden with its tranquil fountain and secluded benches, is basically made for stolen glances and soft confessions. Or stand close to hear nature’s lullaby at the Red Maple Rill, where the soothing sounds of waterfalls add a romantic soundtrack. The Dallas Arboretum is where romance isn’t just in the air, it’s in every petal, pathway, and peaceful pause.

The mundo México event was nice. We enjoyed the night visits at pumpkins and pints.

They have started charging for parking. You have to pay on your phone and they charge a service fee to do so. When asked about paying at the ticket booth, they say it is collected by a third party. They also do not give free parking for reciprocal memberships.
The pumpkins were great. Lots of plants looked like they were dying or needed more water. Spring is our favorite time. They had workers
putting out new flowers while we were there.

I love it here! I came for the autumn festival. It’s a beautiful walk in nature. Would definitely come back for their Christmas event! I would recommend walking shoes, and plan to stay for a few hours. There’s a few cafes you can dine at as well. We saw a lot of people with picnic blankets and their own food or crafts, which would also be a great idea when visiting.

Very cool place. Great layout. Very pretty gardens on a lake (white rock?). Great place for a picnic. Not sure if you can bring in food. There is a restaurant that's $$$ and the service was poor for our visit. But I would go back.

The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. Spread across 66 acres along White Rock Lake, it’s full of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, shaded walkways, and relaxing water features. Every corner feels like a photo moment, from buzzing bees and colorful blooms to quiet, tree-lined paths and sculptures tucked among the plants.

It’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone who just wants a calm day outdoors. The Jonsson Color Garden and Red Maple Rill are stunning highlights, and even with some areas under construction, the gardens still look incredible.

Definitely wear comfy shoes, bring water, and go early for parking. The gift shop is adorable, full of garden-themed décor and souvenirs.

The Arboretum also hosts amazing seasonal events like Dallas Blooms in spring and the Pumpkin Village in fall, such we attended today. It’s worth every penny of the ticket price, a must visit spot in Dallas for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who needs a peaceful escape. 🌸

The botanical garden is a wonderful place to experience silence, stillness, and peace. The staff is attentive and makes sure you enjoy your visit, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. However, drinks and food are a bit expensive, so it is a good idea to bring your own water. Overall, this place is excellent for spending quality time with family, disconnecting from stress, and appreciating nature in a calm environment.

Such a beautiful place to walk around on a nice day. Granted it’s still hot outside, but there’s plenty of shade to keep cool enough. LOVED the fall exhibit! So glad we were able to visit while it’s going on.
