Excellent experience overall. Service was excellent and the attention given by our main server Chelsea and the supporting crew was outstanding. Even asking our names at the beginning and having multiple staff members use our names throughout the dinner was a great touch. Food was delicious and the wine selection and cocktails were top notch. My only complaint would be the fact we were seated in the speakeasy instead of the main dining room. The table we were at was very close to the next table, I even made a comment to the couple seated next to us about them already starting dinner without us. Would have preferred the main dining room for the meal and then the opportunity to show off the speakeasy for a cocktail.

I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for years, and few places surprise me anymore. Yesterday we went to celebrate our anniversary, and it was the best experience I’ve had in years—amazing service and incredible food. The level of attention and personalized service was outstanding. Thank you so much for making our anniversary such a special day.

Great for a date night or just girls night! It’s my 2nd time coming back and came back to celebrate 2 friend’s birthday! They both loved the atmosphere and food! The food portions are on the smaller side but it was just enough for the ladies. We order couple dishes to share. It’s very intimate and not too loud. Everyone was very friendly!

I took my husband here for his birthday and the service and food was outstanding. All of the staff welcomed us and personally greeted us, remembering it was his birthday. The food was absolutely amazing, and they comped our wine for his birthday. Afterwards we told our server we wanted to go to a speakeasy and he walked us over to the one they have in the restaurant, and helped us find a seat at the bar. We were greeted just as warmly there, and got some amazing drinks. After sitting there for a little bit, the staff came out with an olive oil cake for my husbands birthday. It was completely unexpected and we have never received service at any restaurant we have ever been to before. We 100% will be coming back and bringing our friends.

Went to The Charles in Dallas on a Friday night with a couple friends — and honestly, it lived up to the hype. Every dish was a 10/10 perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The staff was on point the entire night, super attentive and detail-oriented without ever feeling overbearing. Only thing I’d note: it gets REALLY loud in there, especially on a weekend. So if you’re coming for conversation, maybe pick a weekday

Went to The Charles with my girlfriends for a girl’s night out. We ordered the mushrooms, octopus, veal ragu cappeloni, spicy creste de gallo and grilled butternut squash bucatini. We had the olive oil cake (absolutely a must try) and the dark chocolate bundino. We had the wine sommelier recommend a delicious bottle of wine for our table and she was absolutely outstanding. Our server was also wonderful. My reason for four stars is for the food temperature. The taste of everything was great, but every dish came out room temperature at best. The bucatini was cool, which the server took back and comped us for. Every dish we had, however, was not served hot. That was pretty disappointing for the price we paid. We appreciated them removing it from the bill, but at the end of the day each dish turned out underwhelming due to the temperature.

Restaurant week menu tastes great. Portion size is smaller than regular menu but just right for us because we don't want too much food. They offered an extra appetizer for my celebration. The cheese and olive gift is also really yummy. All in all, loved the food.

What a lovely spot for a date night! Johnathon creates a welcoming atmosphere and brings a personal touch to every interaction, memorizing each guest's name as soon as they sit down at his bar! While all the food was delicious, Johnathon was spot on when recommending the olive oil cake...best bite of the night!

The food was really good. Portions are not huge but just enough. The SERVICE IS AMAZING!!! From the managers to the wait staff. Shout out to Wynter a fabulous waitress. And stop by the lounge that has a “Speak Easy” lively vibe. Overall this is a nice place for date night or a quick drink.

Ok. Another night in Dallas and another amazing restaurant experience. This time, we tried The Charles and based on the reviews, we were expecting something good and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and accommodating even when we requested to be moved to a more comfortable table. The couple behind us were have some sort of amazing date and I’m pretty sure their dessert order was themselves. Too bad for them because the desserts are fabulous and I should mention the main course was fabulous too. Is it expensive? I guess but the best things in life are often expensive. Would I come here again? We will find out when I come back to Dallas in a few weeks. 😉 Michael Delehanty Compass Real Estate
