Ascension is always a good coffee and a great vibe. Love that they have enough comfortable seating for people to get work done but also for groups to gather and be social. Their food is phenomenal as well. It’s louder by the bar, but the other end of the dining room is very quiet and secluded feeling.

I can’t see anyone giving this place anything other than a 5 star. The staff is great, the restaurant is bustling with people but yet still roomy. The patio is encased with live greenery and music playing in the background. The selection of coffee and teas are second to none. I did see they offered breakfast but this visit was about the turkey club sandwich. Absolutely loved the sandwich and my choice of fries were perfect. I strongly recommend this place for everyone to try out. I know I’ll be back

Came here after playing pickleball in a group of 6 on a Sunday afternoon, and we had a great time. I ordered the Pear Thee Well matcha and shared a chocolate croissant with my boyfriend, who ordered the latte. We gave into ordering some fries later on as well, since one of our friends ordered some, and we liked the seasoning on them a lot. Our server was nice and the decor was really cute. Indoor and outdoor seating was available.

Ascension Coffee in the Design District is easily one of the best coffee spots in Dallas! Though, I'm not a coffee person, but their Jasmine tea is rich and perfectly smooth! You can truly taste the difference in their herbs and attention to detail. The atmosphere is modern, stylish, and perfect for everything from casual meetups to getting work done. The natural lighting and open layout make it feel both energizing and comfortable. Their food menu is just as impressive (highly recommend the steak hash), with fresh, flavorful options that pair perfectly with their drinks. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always welcoming (especially Davis), which makes the experience even better. Whether you’re a serious coffee lover, tea lover, or just looking for a great brunch spot, Ascension Coffee - Design District is a must-visit!

First time here, and it definitely won’t be my last. The atmosphere is super cozy—soft warm lighting instead of harsh white lights, high ceilings, and beautiful floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The menu is very satisfying. It’s a great spot whether you’re coming for lunch or just coffee. They offer free valet parking, but it’s a good idea to bring a little cash to tip the valet.

The ambiance was amazing! I love the whole vibe and the decor. I’m a coffee snob and have to say that I had the best cold brew here. It’s strong, delicious, and definitely doesn’t have that bitter taste! The food was so delicious! I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the Dallas area again!

Yes eat here! Due to events out of my control, it was late morning and I wanted breakfast, flavorable breakfast! These guys delivered! I had an omelette (Sounds tame!) but with manchaco cheese. Yum! Also had a warm pumpkin muffin! The normal latte had some nice extra coffee taste! So, I reviewed the menu - We’re there others items, different items that would tickle my foodie-ness. I found many days worth of different items, I could spend every day here for a couple of weeks eating something different! By then, maybe a new menu would be out!!! Someone in the kitchen likes to cook art of your taste buds🥰

The coffee at Ascension is 5⭐️ but the food is generally 3⭐️. The service averages out to be good because some of the staff are exceptional (Michael) and others allow their personal life struggles to bleed into their work demeanor. The atmosphere teeters between being really good and ok depending on how well the air conditioning is cooling and dehumidifying the place and how clean the staff cleans up the dining room. Overall, the probability is that you’ll have a good experience at this location.

I haven’t been here in years. But coming back the atmosphere was very nice and inviting. I sat outside on the outdoor patio to get some work done however they didn’t have any outlets outside, but they did have an outlet inside at a round table that I eventually moved to. The weight staff was very kind and attentive. The food was excellent and came out quickly. I can definitely see myself visiting again.

Ascension Coffee in the Design District of Dallas absolutely delivered, even though we were just passing through and didn’t get to stay long. I found this spot based on its stellar ratings, and even a short visit was enough to make a lasting impression. The interior is beautifully divided into several visually distinct spaces-at least six different wall treatments that subtly separate the layout without making it feel disjointed. Each section has its own aesthetic, yet everything flows seamlessly together. The overall design is warm, modern, and inviting, with a stylish bar area that adds an extra touch of charm. I ordered a cortado, and it was exceptional-perfectly balanced, well-crafted, and exactly what I needed. The croissant I picked up was fresh and clearly baked that day, which you can always taste. The pastry display was appealing and curated, not overwhelming, with just enough variety. The atmosphere inside was vibrant yet calm, with an interesting, well-dressed crowd that gave the space a cosmopolitan vibe. The staff were friendly and quick, adding to the relaxed and enjoyable experience. And yes, the fact that they also serve alcohol is always a plus in a coffee shop-it makes the space work both for morning coffee and afternoon wind-downs. This place is definitely going on my list of must-visits every time I’m in Dallas. Looking forward to spending more time here next trip.
